CUSTOMS

EXPORT

As of late 2024, Swedish Customs introduced a new export declaration system which is required to be followed when exporting shipments outside of Sweden. This system is still new and we are constantly working to improve our communications with the customs to ensure smooth and efficient cargo handling. There might be inevitable delays in cargo acceptance due to mismatches between our separate systems. We kindly ask for your understanding as we will always do our outmost to solve any potential issues.

If you are unsure about the export declaration system or wondering what applies to you, you can find more information about this on the custom’s website.

When declaring export shipments, you are assigned an MRN identification number. In terms of air freight, it is possible that one air waybill consists of several MRN numbers. Usually, it is one per house air waybill. To make sure that the cargo handling runs smoothly at our terminal, there are several ways in which you can enter the MRN number on your air waybill or FWB.

  1. SlipX
  2. OCI information and FWB through airline
  3. In the case of physical air waybills, you can add a separate piece of paper stating the MRN number in case it does not transfer digitally.

When importing goods it is required to get a customs clearance before the goods can be released and delivered to you. Under no circumstances can there be any exceptions made when releasing goods, as this would be a violation of Swedish laws and could result in expensive fines or sentences.

When picking up cargo at our terminal, it is important that you are sure your shipment(s) are customs cleared and ready to pick up.

If you want to know more about importing goods, you can find more information on the custom’s website.
